Our History:

Nick’s Roast Beef opened its doors in January 1975. The restaurant was named “Nick’s” because both owners are named Nick. They are still the current owners, and involved in the day to day operations of the business for over thirty years now! Nick’s Roast Beef is the true definition of a family business. Nick and Nick are brother in-laws, and their wives and siblings also work in the establishment. They are very happy to be recognized as part of the Beverly community, and want to thank their loyal customers for their support over the years. They have received various rewards for outstanding food and service. They were recently recognized on “Phantom Gourmet” as a Hidden Jewel of the North Shore. Nick’s is known for their hot roast beef sandwiches, which are always prepared on the premises daily.

Phantom Gourmet

Just about every Roast Beef place on the North Shore claims to be famous, but this one really is.

For more than thirty years, Nick’s Famous Roast Beef in Beverly has been serving the most melt-in-you-mouth beef you’re ever gonna eat.

Roast beef is huge north of Boston. You can hardly drive a mile without passing a restaurant that advertises beef sandwiches. Some are chains, many are mediocre. Nick’s, where the motto is “We’re The Only One,” is in the top tier of excellence. Like all the local roast beef houses, it is a self-service joint where you place your order and wait for a number to be called, then carry your own tray to a table somewhere in the small strip-mall…”
